Cric-Knife & Cric-Key by Levitan
Demo’d by Weingart
In this video Scott Weingart (@emcrit) demonstrates the use of the Cric-Control system. The system was developed by Richard Levitan as a simple, easy to use tool for establishing a cricothyroid airway, particularly in the pre-hospital or military setting.
It comprises of two components: the Cric-Knife, which is a double sided blade with an overlying locking hook; and the Cric-Key which is a tracheostomy tube that facilitates blindly identifying tracheal location. The Cric-control system has a higher success rate and is faster than traditional surgical airways.
