The National Blood Authority of Australia released a review of the evidence base for Massive Blood Transfusion for Critical Bleeding on the 31st of March this year, with input and support from various colleges and organisations, including the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. The review was approved by the NHMRC in November last year and includes a set of recommendations for critical haemorrhage and MBT. Thanks to Kane Guthrie of “Antidoped” for the heads up. |
