The NSW ECMO Retrieval Service, developed through cooperation between St Vincent’s and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals, has established a series of lectures in order to improve education and support for clinicians who may have cause to need ECMO retrieval for their patient. The next of these lectures will be held on the 3rd of September, at The Garvan Institute in Darlinghurst, between 8am and 4pm. Topics will include initiation, sedation and weaning for ECMO, along with paediatric ECMO, transplantation and CO2 removal. The focus of the lecture will be “Future directions”.
