In March of 2010, the ACCF (formerly the ACC) and AHA, in co-operation of a number of other colleges and specialist groups, released guideline recomendations for the management of thoracic aortic disease. They are similar in structure and function to the Acute Coronary Syndrome guidelines, with a strong emphasis of evidence base and justifiable classes of recommendation. Matthew Mac Partlin has written a summary of the guidelines, which can be downloaded or reviewed here, in the Cardiothoracic subsection of the Surgical folder in the CICM Fellowship study notes. |
