A podcast discussing the forth coming Developing EM conference, discussing how and why it came about and why Havana is the place to be this September. With Mark Newcomb, Lee Fineberg, Roger Harris and Oli Flower.
Developing EM is a not for profit conference organising agency specialising in providing a practical clinical approach to the delivery of emergency medicine education to senior emergency clinicians.
We hope to maintain an independence of direction and flexibility of action by remaining unaligned to established medical and pharmaceutical bodies.
We provide a clinically relevant educational experience aimed at the senior emergency physician and supported by evidenced-based information.
The medical component has a practical clinical thrust with short, sharp, polished presentations with a focussing on “best practice” in EM.
We hope the combination of elements will continue to attract clinicians keen for a different experience.
Any funds generated from our ventures within Australia will be utilised to subsidise the attendance of local emergency medicine practitioners to the regional conferences as well as ongoing continuing education projects within that region.
Beyond our educational goals, we also hope to grow a network of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care specialists with an interest in the provision of medical education, training, and health care to underserved regions of the developing world.
