This Hot Case is a little different from the others. I’ve been to a few ICU consultant interviews recently and I had jotted down a few notes in preparation. These were tips and bits of advice gleaned from talking to both interview candidates and interviewers, along with a few pieces of information that I researched myself. It’s the kind of stuff that is helpful to know but won’t turn up in the standard critical care textbooks or journals. So I figured that rather than hogging it all, I’d set it free in the spirit of F.O.A.M.
Then I thought, rather then just writing yet another page of text, I’d try something new. I’ve been playing around with text-to-movie software recently, particularly an online resource called Xtranormal. Unfortunately, Xtranormal is about to fold, but there are others out there, like GoAnimate. They seem like a good way of getting the key points across in a 5 – 8 minute period; a bit like the PK presentations that were put together for SMACC 2013. So if you want to see more of these, let me know. Or better yet, put one together and " target="_blank">send me the link, or send me your script and I’ll get it animated and put it up on the ICN site.
Enjoy
