Delaney on ARISE Study, EMCRIT and Dogmalysis

Home Delaney on ARISE Study, EMCRIT and Dogmalysis
Arise study

THE ARISE STUDY: ARISEN

Anthony Delaney (@theARISEstudy) is a lead PI for the recently published ARISE study

Listen to his take on ARISE and:

  • The clinical bottom line
  • Why it was a feat in itself pulling off such a study
  • What is true dogmalysis
  • The future for sepsis studies
  • His take on EMCrit’s Scott Weingart’s interpretation
  • His responses to EMCrit listener’s comments

Above all, the take home points are in line with Scott’s:

  • Give the right antibiotics early
  • Get source control ASAP
  • Be careful at intubation
  • Give the right amount of fluid for your patient (I know…)
  • Early judicious use of vasopressors
  • Admit the patient to an appropriately monitored area

This is what could happen to you if you pull off a massive international RCT… Think carefully.
