The SASWR meeting, taking place in Cheltenham has an excellent scientific programme planned. There are sessions on intensive care, perioperative medicine, obstetrics and paediatrics. There are speakers from the military talking about human factors and overcoming resilience, and a president session where Liam Brennan and Anil Patel are talking. The programme will be very diverse and informative and also features a trainee prize. The meeting will be at the Cheltenham racecourse – a fantastic venue which is only a short drive in to the middle of Cheltenham.
