The teaching stream is a unique innovation from the VPECC team which recognises the current need to increase the available expertise surrounding the CICM first part examination. It seeks to provide senior registrars, fellows and consultants who may be assisting candidates attempting the CICM first part examination with hands on experience in exam preparation

The VPECC Teaching Stream has been approved for CICM CPD as follows:
Pre-course learning: Category 1A, 1 point per hour
Lectures: Category 2A, 1 point per hour
Facilitated discussions, skill stations, and CPR scenarios: Category 2B, 2 points per hour
