Oli & Roger explain what’s going on…
At last all the pieces for SMACC Chicago have fallen into place and we can release the much-anticipated program, speaker list, CE information and registration document.
PROGRAM | WORKSHOPS | SPEAKERS | BROCHURE | MORE
To help you prepare for the opening of registration here are some top tips to get you started.
1: First 500
For all residents / registrars / paramedics / nurses / pharmacists / PA (Basically anyone not practicing as an ‘attending’ –‘’specialist’).
The lucky first 500 will be able to register at the discounted price of US$595.
This cost is fully inclusive of all events in the 3 day program, the welcome reception, Gala night and all coffee and lunch breaks.
Unlike other meetings there are no hidden extras and the cost is all-inclusive, as we want delegates to be fully immersed in the entire experience.
We’re trying as hard as possible to keep the price down for you; to avoid any transaction fee at all, you can pay by direct deposit in either USD, AUD or Euros, depending on where you’re coming from.
Pay local by direct transfer if you can to save cash!
To make it as fair as possible we have chosen to open registration at a time which we think offers all delegates from around the world a chance to get online at a reasonable hour – Check the launch time table below and set your alarms – Good Luck!
We have organized a spectacular array of more than 30 pre-conference workshops, but the number of places in each workshop is limited so first in gets a ticket!
You’ll need to register for the conference and then register for the workshops you want to attend.
From Education to simulation and advanced haemodynamics to neuro-critical care, there is something for everyone.
Don’t forget many workshops sold-out in the first weeks after registration opened this year so the scramble for places will likely be even more hectic.
3: Conference Hotel – Sheraton Towers
Want to get the most out of the SMACC-Fest experience.
The Sheraton Towers will be the venue for most of the pre-conference workshops and there’ll be a shuttle between the Sheraton and McCormick place.
As part of the Festival experience activities will run from the Sheraton throughout the week.

4: Delegate Log-in function:
Once you’ve registered for SMACC you’ll be invited to join the delegate log-in function on the website.
Here you can build a profile and include any interests you have from academic pursuits to sports or lifestyle.
This will allow you to make connections with other delegates sharing your interests to talk shop, go to a baseball game or maybe catch one of Chicago’s great stage productions – whatever your interests are there is something for everyone.
