WIN NSW had their inaugural dinner last month. Theresa Jacques and Nhi Nguyen give us the low down.
WIN NSW had their first meeting in November over a cheerful dinner and a few cheeky glasses of wine. Attendees ranged from trainees to at least one “old war horse”! The vibe in the room was happy and vibrant.
The discussion focused on future events; with possible topics ranging from clinical education on ARDS and ECMO to practical advice about child-care, work-life balance and career projection. Overall, the consensus was for more social events for networking and support. Thanks go to our Indian colleagues who helped with the menu decisions!
The event generated a lot of interest; with many regretful apologies from people who wish to be involved in future WIN initiatives. 2016 will see quarterly dinners as well as potentially a trip to Melbourne to network with our Victorian colleagues.
