Haney Mallemat (@CriticalCareNow and Ultrarounds.com)cobbled together an impromptu Google Hangout where a couple of us got together, along with an online audience (possibly composed entirely of ? tweeting questions, to discuss a few clinical topics. Chris Nickson was quizzed by Haney on his views on the history and development of Medical Social Media and #FOAMed. Then we got stuck in (well I chipped in when my broadband connection wasn’t crashing) and tackled some of the controversies of asthma ventilation and ABG use, permissive hypotension in trauma, fluid management strategies in sepsis and the future for adrenalin (epinephrine) in resuscitation. And yes, there is some silliness mixed in.
