ICN QLD runs regular educational dinner meetings in and around Brisbane. Topics are related to critical care medicine and have ranged from ‘The Truth about Buffers’ to ‘Interventional Radiology for Intensive Care’. We have a range of world class speakers in Queensland and our meetings are a great opportunity to hear them speak at home. We aim to have presentations available as a podcast afterwards.

Our meetings are open to all Fellows and trainees, with the presentations are pitched at the New Fellow / Advanced trainee level. We run our meetings in association with ANZICS Queensland and are endorsed by the Queensland Regional Council.

Meetings are now also being held in Cairns, so watch out for details about these events.

There are no upcoming events at this time.

Meetings occur every second month or so and are held in a local restaurant. We usually kick off at 1930 with a welcome from the sponsor, before the presentation and meal. There is the opportunity to ask questions afterwards, as well as highlight any local ICM events. Please email any requests to us.

All meetings are free of charge and we try to accommodate dietary preferences. We do ask that you let us know if your plans change so your place can be offered to someone else.

We also host the project presentation session of the CICM QRC Annual Trainee Research Meeting in November each year.

Meeting information is sent out through our mailing list and the ICU Training Pathway. To join the mailing list, click here.

Our meetings would not happen without the generosity of our sponsors.

If your company would like to sponsor an event, please email us
