ICN QLD runs regular educational meetings in Cairns, Queensland. Topics are related to critical care medicine and have ranged from ‘The Truth about Buffers’ to ‘Interventional Radiology for Intensive Care’. We have a range of world class speakers in Queensland and our meetings are a great opportunity to hear them speak at home. We aim to have presentations available as a podcast after the events.
Our meetings are open to all Fellows and trainees, with the presentations are pitched at the New Fellow / Advanced trainee level. We run our meetings in association with ANZICS Queensland and are endorsed by the Queensland Regional Council.
Currently Alice Young and Richard Mooney are coordinating the ICN QLD events.

We’re just planning the next meeting – watch out for more details soon!
All meetings are free of charge and we try to accommodate dietary preferences. We do ask that you let us know if your plans change so your place can be offered to someone else.
We have also hosted the project presentation session of the CICM QRC Annual Trainee Research Meeting in November each year.
Meeting information is sent out through our mailing list and the ICU Training Pathway. To join the mailing list, click here.
Meetings are accredited for CICM CPD points – Group 2A, the Brisbane Intensive Care Network.
