What do you do when the patient that has been admitted with a new stroke also has an elevated BP? Keep the numbers up to avoid worsening the ischaemia, or drop the numbers to reduce the risk of bleeding and encephalopathy? How low should you go? Well there’s going to be a conference to address exactly this type of patient. It will be a satellite meeting to precede the 24th Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension. If this is something you’d like to know more about, the George Institute is supporting this meeting of the International Society of Hypertension in the Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort in September to which all are welcome. For more information, check out the attached flyer or follow this link. And if you do go, why not write a summary review and ?subject=HT%20in%20Acute%20Stroke%20conference%20review">send it in to us and we’ll publish it on the site with your name in lights. |
